I have big hopes for the future of Haskell. Haskell is backed by a truly amazing community. A lot of effort has been put into making Haskell more "beginner" friendly or production-ready. There is obviously still a long way to go a

I think that this is completely disproportionate. He is being treated as if he was a serial killer or a mob-boss. Hell, even Al Capone was only sentenced to 11 years in Prison.

I really admire Pebble for they are the only company that is truly trying to make an accessible and efficient product. I don't believe that people will buy a computer, a smartphone, a tablet and a watch. Assuming that each of these dev

Currently working at a growing startup in Waterloo, it's an open office with a lot of people and it can quickly become very loud (picture 150 people in a big room). I completely agree with you, without music, noise cancelling headphone

My thoughts exactly. This has caused some amount of cognitive dissonance because I know a significant number of people who are Stanford students and coming from a modest socio-economic background. That being said there is definitely a lot

Same here. I am curious as to what caused Secret to disappear so suddenly. I am not a power user of social networks but something that really struck me was the really poor UI of Secret relatively to the crystal clear interface of YikYak.

Slightly off-topic but PagerDuty is one of the company that make us very proud to be Waterloo students (alongside with Thalmic, Pebble etc...). Keep rockin' and thank you! :)

I don't understand the parallel with UBC? At Waterloo almost everyone is on co-op. It is even mandatory for people in engineering. I am renting a house this summer with 4 friends, we aren't working at the same companies but that

FWIW I have heard terrible things from people studying there. While it looks good on paper, the sad reality is that it's basically a code monkey factory. Also, I don't really think that this kind of trade school are relevant in Fr

I am glad that you like it. I don't know why you are trying to make it about Waterloo. You are totally missing the point of the discussion which is about UofT v. Harvard (as silly as it sounds). It is not very productive to start a dic
