Just check scalac source code. Also Scala losses a lot when mixed with Java legacy code (collection casting etc..) For me the ultimate elegant stunt is how Kotlin introduced immutable collections into Java Collections Framework.

It took me 50 hours to do 6" mirror with lambda 1/6, I was 14 and totally left handed.

OEM gets money from crapware preinstalled on Windows. Also OEM Windows license costs peanuts, so computer without Windows can be actually more expensive.

Concurrent processing and database design. But for second major I would recommend some 'soft' science, such as finance, economics or accountancy. Most people on those fields do not know high math.

I wrote about 10kloc in Kotlin for internal testing framework. It is heavily multi-threaded and Kotlin aced here (compared to Scala). Java8 brings lot of legacy stuff. It feels like authors just wanted to add 'functional' on featu

Something similar with AMD. My flex graphic supports 4 screens. At some point proprietary drivers dropped this and now it only supports 3 screen. Open-source driver works just fine with 4.

I use "sort of" Tiling WM. I have 4 screens in portrait mode and always maximize windows across single screen. I never have to scroll or press alt-tab. BTW: KDE and XFCE WM has some basic tiling support as well.

Most electronics use low-voltage DC internally. You only need DC-DC converter with stabilizer to run 32" TV. My friend also has microwave and fridge, all 12V.

I find this article bit too skeptical. Solar panels improved a lot in recent years, and you can break even with investment even in UK without subsidies. My friend in Czech Republic is a software developer. He works from home and his house i

Marketing aside I find Bing results good. Google is kind of turning into singularity and tends to return only google (or US) centered results (for example youtube only videos). Bing seems to have better diversity.
