It's not the threat of an outage with data loss that is concerning to me- I just want to understand use case that needs fractions of a second shaved off of query times by using SQLite in this way that is also ok with the possibility of

No need to be condescending when I'm trying to learn. The premise of using SQLite because it was easier and to save fractions of a second didn't make sense to me as a tradeoff for potentially losing data

Interesting. For an extremely specific use case and with users who understand and accept the caveats of this approach I'm sure it would work well enough. The most confusing thing to me is that there is apparently an intersection of use

How is this setup fault tolerant? What happens if there is a hardware failure? How do you partition access in a way that means an extremely active user doesn't impact availability?

That's a silly way to think about it, strength just gives you more tools that you can work with if you're intelligent. If you aren't strong enough to rip eyeballs from sockets, how does being intelligent enough to know you ca

This would only work with the assumption that the owners of the product listing would update the version of the product in good faith. It would only be in their interest to do so if the current version of the project would get better review

You're making a tradeoff. You no longer have to alarm for things like your server failing due to disk failure or other stuff that lambda abstracts away from you, but you do have to alarm on things that will increase cost. Constant cost

CDK(and infra as code in general) is amazing, especially for use cases like this where one would be responsible for deploying and creating resources around 10s of lambdas for one 'service'.

The main argument for colonizing planets is some kind of cataclysm destroying earth that we had nothing to do with, e.g. meteor or gamma ray burst. It doesn't make sense to set up shop somewhere else otherwise, as we could spend resour

I think the case was closed on the vaping sickness, as it was attributed to black-market THC vapes using vitamin E oil to thicken their otherwise diluted distillate to give the illusion of a higher quality product. It's too late for th

I've also heard similar experiences from heroin users when talking about their path to addiction. A real negative of anti-drug/smoking education is the hyperbole used when describing how addictive and amazing the substance is. Whe
