I saw VB6 used by many non-programmers. It often wasn't pretty, but got the job done (helped in no small part by a rich ecosystem of COM/ActiveX components).

Has Apple's assembly quality declined? Feels more like design issues to me (e.g. keyboard, flexgate, overheating).

40 minutes standing or even sitting on a hard plastic seat is not my idea of relaxing. I admit that you'll get more exercise, but no thanks; I'll walk somewhere a bit more pleasurable then downtown. I find being in close quarters

My company is not particularly big but just in my team of a dozen or so we have members in Boston, Australia, Phoenix, and Seattle, and regularly deal with those in London, Tokyo, etc. It's not that unusual; in fact it's part of

Those Bendpak Quick Jacks look pretty nice -- seems like you'd have good access to everything. Any drawbacks?

I had pretty much stopped reading for enjoyment before smart phones. Have plowed through a bunch of books now thanks to the Kindle app. It's a combination of always being with you, remembering where you were across devices, and being

I switched to TP-Link Decos a few months ago, 2 with wired backhauls and 1 with just wifi. Seems to work fine, haven't had problems with handoff.

Never even heard of a European slider before; it looks clever, but a bit large for a home shop. Also, these tools last a long time, so even if something better comes along, it's going to take quite a few years to make inroads into exis

In my experience, there's a pretty big difference between mid 40s and over 50. Companies may be hungry, but they've also become more selective.

It's arguably a better experience if you don't need to be aware of which platform each piece of content is streaming on. And I'd rather see IMDB ratings then the rather meaningless "this is a 92% match for you."

We have a 15 year old Honda Odyssey, and if required periodic repairs for anything, not just powertrain, we'd probably replace it -- it just won't be worth the time and bother, even for relatively minor repairs. But it just soldi

Lots of good arguments against here. But assuming this assignment is in lieu of the usual 6+ hour whiteboard exam, then I say bring it on -- it's a lot less intrusive to my schedule.

It is pretty unique in the US. Most other vendors will take 5-7 days to get to me in the north east (probably because a lot of imported goods end up warehoused on the west coast). I don't think too many other online vendors in the US
