I only use celery for sending out emails. It’s overkill. I wonder how many other people have celery just for email.

I’m reminded of packaging I’ve seen that claims to be environmentally friendly because it can be crushed up to be smaller. Because smaller takes less space which presumably takes less landfill. Having said that, “recycling into a cat house”

There used to be prestige, mystique, exclusivity, and desirability associated with being a YC company. I kinda feel now it’s just become a numbers game machine.... back as many as possible, some will win. There doesn’t see anything special

No matter what they say, handing in a half done coding test because you ran out of time is a fail. IMO anyway. Probably it was virus related but I’m not very enthused about doing coding tests any more.

I did a coding test the other day. To be fair they said don’t put more than 2 to 4 hours in. However I’m not someone who can fail to meet the requirements so I spent 8 hours building it to meet the requirements exactly. Heard nothing at all

My son is playing chess with his grandfather by sending SMS photos of the board to each other. Yes there’s any number of chess apps. This felt more personal and real.

It’s a framework. Similar questions are: Why not build rails into ruby? Why not build Django into python? Why not build qt into c++? It’s a programming flow and model, dom diffing is just one part of it.
