The best indication not to bother answering is that they called you. Doesn't matter how familiar their accent sounds. They are not calling for your benefit. No need to get xenophobic about it.

Support quality is a function of cost, which is a function of customer value. Low-margin businesses will hire low-cost support on whatever continent it's available.

Never underestimate adolescents who are not distracted by ordinary teen drama. They exist, and have truly enviable amounts of time for projects. Also, don't overestimate compilers (or kernels). They can be much simpler than they migh

To be fair (however painfully), a healthy percentage of those people believed they were there to save democracy. We all believe things that are poorly-supported by facts, possibly serving an agenda we don't understand, and are clearl

Wouldn't such a network filter also trigger on random (in the sense of unpredictable to the reader) pages here on HN though? Or Reddit, etc? I've never lived under such a regime, but all of the trigger words I can imagine at OP&#x

Interpreting Animats' question as concern for the user population, I think it's a valid one. The new administration in the US is openly hostile, and a lot of damage could be done to peoples' lives if, say, the community was h

This is great. I also enjoy the "randomly and undebuggably hang until timeout" (25mins?) which is annoying and incomprehensible and costs money. Rerunning the same jobs always passes.

Airy ice cream is also lighter. Beware pints that weigh less than expected. At a minimum, it indicates a ton of air whipped into the mix. But it's also a decent proxy for low-quality ingredients or garbage fillers. In the grocery store

I have seen scoops of cheap ice cream, accidentally dropped onto pavement on a hot sunny day in the Southern US, maintain their scoop-like shape for hours. Cheap ice cream is not ice cream. Do not eat.
