> how is downloading a JS version and running that any better? That's not really what this app seems to do. When you run an application on this neverinstall product, it doesn't magically transpile the native app into JavaScript

Neat! This does seem algebraically coherent. Unfortunately, it just doesn't make intuitive sense to my lizard brain. Cool trick anyway, thanks for clearing it up!

A few thoughts: Apple's Face ID takes a 2-dimensional infrared image of your face as well as projects 30,000 IR dots to form a 3D depth map of the face. It feeds this into a NN in a separate Secure Enclave processor to determine whethe

Oh. I thought your point was that their inclusion criteria were too narrow (.edu only) and as such did not include all universities. I remember this wording irritating me when I was a k-12 student myself. I would get excited at "Free f

Pegasus does indeed play catchup. They seem to constantly introduce new vulnerabilities, each more advanced than the last. The whole operation is incredibly sophisticated—this report [0] by Amnesty International is a great read. They also c

My thinking is this: 1. Exploitation inherently relies on malicious input data. 2. In computer systems, any input data (especially in human-facing systems) is not logically useful to the software until parsed. 3. Thus, a parser is the first

To the my inner armchair security enthusiast, a good solution looks like this: On incoming message, check one thing and one thing only: is the sender in the contact list? If YES... + Run the message through BlastDoor and continue a

FYI, the one M1 MacBook which throttles under heavy load is the MacBook Air, which is actually a 1k laptop ($999). The MacBook Pro has fans and basically never throttles as I understand from others.

I just signed up to the "free for individual students and educators" plan using an .ac.uk domain (the UK equivalent of the US' .edu). Perhaps your problem is more of an edge case? What is the TLD you are trying to use?

This is neat. I expected something which had a predefined dictionary of ASCII shapes along with manual SVG translations... but this tool is dynamic. It really does create the shapes as you draw them. Super cool!

Are you really trying to paint the fact that the younger generation is taking greater steps to systematically take care of their health as a bad thing? That is absurd.

Supposedly, the risk of long COVID is not correlated to the severity of symptoms. That’s a bad thing.

This is also something that kind of breaks my brain. It's always impressive to see Copilot-"authored" code which seems complex, coherent, (and most of the time, functional), and Google it to zero previous results. How is it t
