For Rust, you can generate offline documentation (as HTML and JS files) for your crate and all dependencies. I’ve used this for working in airgapped environments.

Absolutely. Party has no leadership. The progressive wing has been organizing their base, protesting, and calling congressional offices, trying to encourage centrist Dems do something. They finally do this but then get fold immediately when

It’s totally shot lol. I’ve had the battery replaced it once already, and frankly it didn’t make too much of a difference. The battery always shows 1%, even if it has 50% charge left in actuality, and I never know when it’s going to die. I

I’m still on the 1st gen SE from 2016. Imagine my disappointment when I found out that the iPhone Pocket was, in fact, not an iPhone that fits in your pocket. Looking at replacing my SE with a keitai supplemented with an Android emulator

Anyone else notice the obvious misspelling of “climate” in the AI-generated hero image?

This is all fun and games until a “politically neutral” decision is made by a programming language foundation to refer to all trans people using they/them. How would that make you feel?

I’m not a fan of serde either. I wish there was a way to have foreign derives (or even better: compile-time reflection). There wasn’t a great way to serialize things in Rust in the standard library and the ecosystem crystalized around serde

I wish OCaml had more helpful error messages like these, right now it feels like I’m on my own solving some of the more inscrutable errors.

I would rather have partial function application be explicit rather than just omitting args because right now if you accidentally forget an argument (a bug) it isn’t an error there and instead becomes a type error somewhere else.

My problem is that when you’re trying to appease it the errors it spits out can be confusing or in the wrong place

I second the point that Rust types can get quite long. I usually use aliases where I can but that isn’t always possible. I think that sometimes people use boxing just to avoid these long types even if the code in theory doesn’t require an a

Maybe it’ll grow on me as I get used to it :) but e.g. I was really confused about a nonsense error in a match statement until I realized that it was because of a nested match statement. If you don’t use ocamllex/Menhir, what do you us

I actually find that annotated parameters and return types help me during the exploratory stage too otherwise I invariably end up making a typeerror somewhere and the errors aren’t helpful (the error shows up in the wrong spot, or the funct

Yeah mods are just regular Java .jars that can do anything. To circumvent this issue Mojang introduced datapacks but they are super limited in what they can do. They’re basically just Minecraft commands in a file along with some manifest fi

Meh, Linux Mint has some serious rough edges from my experience. Suspend doesn’t work if multiple users are logged in, save-as dialog windows open under the current window (a 7-year old bug!!!) [0], audio devices are not shared between user

If the user seeks an abortion, the LLM ought to help them. Likewise if the user is planning a pro-life march, the LLM ought to help them. They are tools above all else, and should leave their politics at the door when serving the user just
