Were the majority of governments in human history, many lasting hundreds of years and immensely beneficial to their populaces, not legitimate? And dare I ask what was the great moral challenge of the 20th?

Because? Presuming you're referring to Chad Hurley, you think that Google bought YouTube because he married Jim Clark's daughter? Jim Clark, who as far as I can tell, didn't invest in Google, doesn't work for them, and isn't on their boar

I know of people who do push patches back to upstream. (I used to spend a lot of time doing it.) But, last I checked, this wasn't really standard operating procedure. Am I wrong? I sure hope so. But I can't help but notice the Utnubu [1] pr

Interesting. When I wrote my lamson-based daily journaling software, I also found the yet-another-mail-server aspect of Lamson redundant. The syntax of mailman looks a bit nicer. Good unit tests. Any example apps?

Thank you! Testing now. Redshift is nice. But, the colours in xflux feel better. Nothing quantifiable though. I spent a little bit of time a few months ago trying to dump the gamma tables to compare. Only accomplished reminding myself why I

I e-mailed the author months ago about a bug where the glibc command-line version would stay alive and peg to 100% CPU usage after logout. It seems to have never been fixed. Any chance you could ping him about that?

Since 2001, has pinyin begun to appear in day-to-day writing? Cursory image searches puts it on street signs and a mention of National Common Language Law promulgating its use. If someone forgets a hanzi, is a pinyin substitute acceptable?
