I don’t have my money back yet, but the man who stole my site from me doesn’t have it, either, and won’t be getting it, ever. I don't think she got her money back, it may be held, but the method in which she got her domain back invol

Comments in production code have always been a pet peeve of mine. I understand the OP's frustration on useless comments where the function clearly states enough in it's naming convention. I brought this up to one of my instructors

I agree with you with the "bad advice," opinion. There's no glamour or valor with how she got her domain back. In reality...it appears from her article that she really just paid to get it back. So I guess her suggestion is to

Is there any domain register that offers 2 factor authentication to make changes that are detrimental to a site? I have Network Solutions, KVC Hosting, and have tried 1and1, but all of them...from a security standpoint...are lackadaisical w

It's a gamble (as stated). The gamble is that you will not be the last idiot to invest (the last person/group is the loser). Basically the first people give their money to 1 address. The group that follows pays the first their 20%

This story seems very familiar...the fact that it's trending again on HN, leads me to believe that some of us devs must relate with the coder that lost it. I can strongly relate with the programmer. With the wealth of knowledge that

I don't think you should worry about the reliability of Google "wanting," users to host their content. Considering Google builds one of the most extensive, profitable, and privacy scaring profile on each IP address, MAC addre

I wonder if "lasing," people's cars as they drive would cause the same types of ramifications. Seems very likely, and even more dangerous than "lasing," a pilot (a highly trained individual). I consider most drivers

I gotta say, I would've never thought of baking the motherboard. Makes sense in regards to overclocking and as the op stated, he constantly ran his MBP. Baking, I guess, would kinda resolder connections...total guess. My recommendation

The prosecutor's would have to... 1. prove they have the evidence. or 2. prove they destroyed or concealed it. Greatest quote I've ever heard: "it's not what they know, it's what they can prove in court"
