Yeah, the article isn't a problem, I'm pretty sure the author is being 100% honest, but the editorialization is. The title of the the first paragraph is "Declining Productivity and Moore’s Law".

Fine article from a reputable source, but there's a tendency I despise in modern journalism: making it unclear they're talking about a declining growth rate (positive first derivative, negative second derivative: increasing with t

No, unless with "race" you mean something other than the ordinary meaning of the word. You can find those differences and draw lines between populations, but they don't overlap very well with the folk interpretation of race.

We should not, because race is a useless concept. There are traits individuals can have, some of which are immutable, and some of which correlate with what we call "race". But race itself is, even taking the most benign meaning po

I agree. Ironically, Java the language doesn't have any more boilerplate than, say, C++ or Go, which people are apparently okay with? It does however have some stuff that's plain dumb (can't have functions outside classes, pu

Java is still 95%+ of the marketshare of the JVM. Also "C++ being replaced by go and rust everywhere" is very much hyperbolic. You are either wildly exaggerating or living in a bubble.

Definitely THE website to bookmark if you're interested in C++ at all. Notice that due to SEO fuckery, your first search result might be cplusplus.com, which is not the same and not as good. cppreference.com is where it's at.
