Nice - why is the safety record so bad on the SR-22? I thought it had a chute!

I've had numerous discussions with people about 60Hz vs 120Hz, including one where a friend cited some study (sorry no link) which claimed that, perceptually, people couldn't tell the difference between these two refresh rates. I was incred

Very timely read for me. I work in a successful company with lots of challenges and room for expansion, I am a key member of the team and work very long hours (which would be better spent on my own side project). My current manager has done

The moment you have a definite image of what _your_ world needs to be like before you're happy, you've already set yourself up for disappointment. You're right (based on my definition of right!) it's a balance - you need to have some goals

I read this book a while ago and it has definitely influenced me in positive ways. I know I'm not the only one who has benefited. I'm sad to hear this news. Good reading for just about anyone.

For me this article simply confirms my conclusions on the subject from my own anecdotal experiences. Stay up all night, 50% chance I'll get sick. Go through sustained high stress periods, I _will_ eventually get sick. Funny enough I didn't

This is great - seeing something like this made me so happy. It's almost as if my belief in the human spirit is vindicated by this alone (of course there are many many other examples). Kudos to his dad.

While an ASUS Transformer Prime is still limited in certain ways like the iPad, surely that's already a step in the right direction (as far as this post is concerned)?

Scary thought: Going cold turkey with coffee has had very similar effects on me (after 2 weeks of 1-2 cups a day; 2-4 shots/day). I've also had a similar feeling of deadness when I stopped eating meat, dairy and anything with additives for

No, it's there. If you blur your vision by squinting you should see it - slightly crossing my eyes while squinting helped. I can see Einstein normally though. Basically, the blurrier the image looks to you, the more like Monroe it will look

You're right, I've argued with a few of my friends over this in the past. Also, something I should have mentioned before (and I should correct myself), the refresh rate on a LCD screen isn't quite the same thing as that on the CRT. So, even

Agreed on it making a difference in competitive play. Though 200-300ms is a pretty slow response time (especially in a competitive environment - depends on the game I suppose). In most twitchy games (actually in most games) people's reactio

Interesting article. I'm not much of a console gamer (not much of a gamer anymore in general) but those figures are horrifying for a PC gamer to look at! 100-150ms lag (not counting any network lag on-top) would be pretty hard to swallow fo

Depends on the monitor. You're pretty much stuck when it comes to most current TVs and LCD/LED displays as well (60Hz, 70Hz, 75Hz sometimes 100Hz). Before flat screens were affordable we were all using CRTs. A good CRT could push a 150Hz re
