A vote for VimFX from me as well. I used to be a Vimperator user, but lately I've found it too buggy to use. Even the help pages do not function properly.

So you can get a PC with Mac Pro specs for the price of an iMac?

This script is a good start. I would also change the default policy in Windows Firewall to drop all outgoing traffic, and then enable access on application basis, and for basic things such as DNS and DHCP. Windows 10 will still spam the DNS

Nope. A 486 simply can not do that. Low bit rate, 22kHz mono is possible however.

Does it protect you also from the spy/ad/malware that Windows 10 is?

It is always amazing to me how much power supernatural nonsense has over some people. I consider myself very lucky to have grown up in a no-nonsense environment.

It comes down to how you generate the electricity to run your hardware. Manufacturing processes take a lot of juice and materials.

You forget that Linux is a stable and well-rounded OS that also lets you run a lot of hardware that Windows can't.

Seems to work just fine with Firefox though. But I agree that the default font size is way to big.

I absolutely love that the maintainers can stick up to any company that tries to add shit code to the kernel. There is no excuse for AMD. The response reads like a total whine to me. It's not the kernel maintainers fault that your comp

I had a 1TB WD Green drive that failed. Also had another failure with 320GB USB WD Passport. Probably just bad luck, but I don't feel like buying another WD drive.

I think this pretty much depends on where you live. If you get enough sunlight on your skin then there is no need for vitamin d supplements.

If someone finds something beneficial, it is not a statement on if that particular thing is the right or wrong thing to do. I'm not sure what you mean with perfectly aligned interests. What would those be?

The site won't even load for me. JS and no fallback to plain HTML. Good example of why modern websites suck. A plain text file listing the models would be more useful.

Yes. Also, at least With NVDIA cards, you can specify a temperature target to the driver. I think the defaults usually run the chips at ~70C. I guess the fans are actually mostly 100mm in 2x fan configurations, manufacturers seem to have ma

There are discreet graphic cards with passive cooling available. The power-hungry models fitted with dual 120mm fans and a large heatsink are not too noisy either.

IMO 120mm+ fans running at low speeds combined with large heatsinks and SSDs pretty much solved noise problems for desktop PCs.
