Hey you do you a middleware you use for this? I'd be interested in trying it out for cases where I have large, semi-static queries and want the entire file to be sql-language and not mixed with node code. Also, how do you handle queri

That is invalid in javascript, just like this is invalid: var foo = "string "with quotes" done." You can escape the inner backquotes \` but then its just a backquote character in the string. It doesn't do anything

An example of extending your reserved list would be the world "lateral" (new type of join in 9.4). I'll do a PR if I get that far:} RE: comments, yes it would be quoted and that would cause an error. select/ comment &#x

I really like knex, and have projects that use it too! Sometimes, and especially on an intranet/admin tool thats not meant for widespread consumption, I start with a sql query (or an analyst hands me one) and it just needs to be a repo

Hey yes, sorry if not clear, but I definitely output a prepared statement and do not homebrew any escaping! I'll take a look at adding a "TL;DR" section at the top to point that out before the second page where I actually go

Hey nice I actually looked at this library when I started. I really like the sql identifier escaping, where most just do literals. I'd thought about: "select * from %I${my_table} where ..." I think I'd probably feel more

If you're just trying to get JSON out (for a simple query to REST api, or in a node.js environment), have you considered converting the record/recordset to json in the subquery? The json functions in 9.3+ are pretty handy for that

I work on several Django apps, and also write advanced SQL in Postgres (CTEs, plv8 functions, materialized views, etc.). One thing the ORM allows though is writing a custom sql query and its pretty easy to 'cast' the sql results

I think by "model logic" he is referring to MVC and things like data model relationships (and an ORM possibly), validation/casting, etc. For example, in a single programming language and framework you could say: payment.isPay

This. I'd played with all sorts of leap second adjustments, time zone switching, etc. A really rolling road (Arizona has some of these) where the car might be one "roller" ahead of you but look a lot closer, then your car hit

Hey nice! One thing I might recommend is independently scrolling the main section from the property editor on the right (have that in a fixed position?). The idea is to be able to see the Navs example when you're changing the padding

No, it can be a gotcha because the json column type (which still exists and many may mistakenly use instead of the jsonb type) allows it: select '{"foo": 1, "foo": 2}'::json; json ------------

Since you're planning on doing some conceptual work with JSONB, just a heads upon one gotcha - duplicate properties are not allowed. I.E.: { task: "do stuff", task: "do other stuff" } which sometimes is useful w

Very cool, and awesome on opensourcing the agentredrabbit code! We had a somewhat simpler but related "tons of data coming in via RESTful services and don't want to flood directly to the db with massive parallel connections"
