It's true that some cities are bubbles without conservatives, but you have to keep in mind that America itself is a bubble without any real left wing to speak of. If you care about getting the full range of ideology that exists in most

On a brighter note, I downloaded an archive of my LinkedIn data. The data set was less than half a megabyte and contained exactly what I had expected: spreadsheets of my LinkedIn contacts and information I had added to my profile. Somehow

Just to put it in perspective, you can make ~$500 per month from having $150,000 in mutual funds if you assume that you make an average of 4% per year after inflation. VTSAX made almost 15% last year, but last year was unusual.

I managed to get the same effect by going to "News Feed Preferences" and unfollowing everyone. I don't think this was possible years ago, but now it is.

Nobody's denying that the world has improved. The relevant question is "where are we relative to where we could be, given all that we have to work with?" One answer, in the opinion of many informed people, is that we (America

My grandparents also lived through the depression. And how did they cope with it? Joined a labor union, joined the socialist party. Maybe not such a bad idea?

I guess I should say that everything said in public has the potential to be political. Something that's political, in my mind, is anything that has significance for running the government or the larger social machine. "Don'

I agree on the first point, but I think part of the point of this article is that there no such thing as "not political" since everything you say in public has a place in the public consciousness which is the engine of democracy.
