I'm drawn to disliking OpenAI for not being open, but on the other hand, as long as the architectures and techniques are public, progress will continue fast. If OpenAI drops the ball and stops improving, another company would just take

If you were given the task "mimic the sound of Japanese as best you can", at first, you would just learn the basic phonology and just try and mimic the general sounds of the language. You would get good at that, and eventually you

User-specific? Why isn't the page excluding the header part cached separately, or am I missing something?

Yes, it's called dynamic rendering when you serve different content based on the user agent, but it's apparently not recommended anymore. https://searchengineland.com/google-no-longer-recommends-usi...

Worst case scenario, they could just move the banner to be "within the browser's GUI" (while still seeming to extend over the page) rather than actually in the page and that issue would go away.

I think the question has accidentally shifted here. ChatGPT knows that hands have five fingers because it's trained on text and text will almost always say that. DALL-E doesn't know that hands have five fingers, it just knows what

Yeah, I think AI will lead to huge change starting next year when the next iterations on ChatGPT and whatnot are released and they jump from being good most of the time to being excellent almost all of the time. When that happens next year
