Renting something for a longer term is usually cheaper because there is less overhead and risk. Renting a single day requires extra overhead in cleaning and advertising plus the risk of not having it rented. My guess would be nightly stay

Most people in this area are now older. I'm approaching 40 and I was recently at a tech demo and everyone around me seemed to be older than me. I remember taking Assembly in college and our professor explicitly telling us that we wou

One of my CS friends actually got on there, and he was a capable programmer at the school level. So maybe by sprinkling in a few competent people here and there they get things done. Was very funny, at some point they found out he knew so

I was under the impression pretty much everyone in CS knew what was up. When I graduated, some people I knew went to Accenture, who billed them out at $350/hour immediately. So you'd have a few dozen "consultants" with

Seems to be a meme that "back in my day kids just played and that was good!" Yeah, sure I played with Lawn Darts that were basically 12" long pieces of flying death, but I'm pretty sure I was lucky not to get injured.

Lexus cars have more differences from the similar Toyota model than just a new badge. Beats are pretty much just a badge.

Yeah, that pretty much sucks. I generally try and ask people about what they did and drill into whatever it is they know, but most interviews I've gone on the interviewer wants you to know the stuff the interviewer knows/is good

I can confirm they have made it to backer #3811 as of last Friday for shipping, hoping it arrives sometime this week.

I just received the shipping confirmation for my 16-core kickstarter board. Since they are relatively low volume, it seems to be pretty hard for them to get the necessary parts from suppliers reliably. I think they need a huge customer for

That makes some sense to me, if you are a U.S. company you should have to comply with US law regardless of where you store the data. Whether or not this particular warrant is valid is another matter.

I believe it to be the taxes. If they repatriate those dollars they'll pay a significant tax. I believe there are also bills in congress that may someday make it through to address this, but it probably won't be soon. Getting t

I....do not grok article. I don't use function pointers and jump tables all that much, but I'm pretty sure you could add a function pointer argument to printNTriples and replace the printf() with it and get somewhere if you reall

I have no bitcoin, but I've been audited. Unless your intent is to avoid taxation and you don't mind the risk, you should definitely pay tax on any bitcoins you've mined.

Cool demo video, seems simplistic but useful for people that want to draft over and over. However, I would plan for a takedown notice from WoTC. I've thought a bit about Magic programs, and it seems to me you might need to have a Gen

Hula hoopers weren't compared to strippers, the gawkers were compared to how "customers" behave at the strip club. I know lots of women who do not enjoy being "gawked" at, including my wife and daughter. I don'
