They don't hack. The send legal notices to the companies. They have sent legal notices to get people on Google, Facebook, etc. I still wrote my comment assuming that HN is obscure enough for them not to be aware of it.

I'm new to Julia. I had heard of PackageCompiler, but assumed that was only for creating redistributable binaries for others. I also assumed `]precompile` was the best I could do to speed up libraries. My suggestions: 1- please forget

With the universe being so big, lots of highly unlikely phenomena are bound to happen here and there. Like if the terrestrial planet originated from a metal-rich star system, got kicked out by gravitational slingshot, wandered for a while,

The video is about effluents form the pharma industry. The scale dwarfs any abuse by both human patients and animal farming. I have modified my comment above because I had used the wrong word.

Drug resistant microbes are getting bred by Indian pharma factories [corrected from "pharmacies"] through their own carelessness [1]. I think it's high time WHO or some such agency got more powers to penalize the perpetrators

Having studied in convent boarding schools, it was the norm for my classmates to not be able to speak any language except English. I was too young to care about census data back then, so I did not ask my classmates. But extrapolating much l

The video shows a polar orbit. How does this address azernik's point that "if the data exists for one place at a similar latitude, then it exists for every other place at a similar latitude"? With a polar or near-polar orbit,

There are so many incorrect and vague things here, but rather than listing them out, I point back to my counter examples. Zooming in on Kumasi, Ghana should show you why you're wrong. Look at the mosaic lines. There are both N/S l

You have a completely wrong idea of the laws of orbital dynamics. If satellites don't want to keep burning tons of fuel, they will orbit the center of the earth, not its axis. The only situation where your comment could apply is if the
