I'm not nearly as experienced as the blog post author, but I suspect the M1's GPU does not have any way of blitting to the screen other than driving it 'fully' - ie. using the standard command queue and shader units to e

Yeah, if there was one I would've noticed it. Nothing to click like that, just a login page. Now it loads fine though, I guess I fell into some anti-fraud/DoS system.

Maybe give your government a taste of their own medicine: go to the streets and overthrow your evil, corrupt politicians.

What happens to it when you die? Do you have a contingency plan to export this data somewhere for archival purposes?

I assume it's bigcorp slowness, having to roll up all updates into patch batches, following release schedules, testing against all release trains, going through QA, etc. No accelerated way to push critical, but trivial software fixes.

Right, but that's just a quantity thing. The quality, from my experience, is horrible. Once I know which repository I'm interested in, I have much better results cloning the code and grepping for things locally.

Does anyone actually use the GitHub global code search? I've always found it to be pretty much useless. (compare the results from https://cs.opensource.google/ vs. GH search)

I don't think Allo and Duo are products designed for use in teams/organizations, or marketing themselves as such.
