I lived without Google Play Services on Android for 3 years before moving to iOS, and while it was a decent experience when all you need is a tiny computer (web browsing, videos via VLC and NewPipe), it lacked what one would expect of smart

I'm not aware of any plugins, but in case anyone is curious about how to replicate that setup on Linux systems with PulseAudio, you can create virtual outputs with: pactl load-module module-null-sink \ sink_name=Device_Na

According to [0], Mozilla requires all extensions to have a source in human-readable format and runs a test suite on them. They mention "code review" there, but don't say whether it's manual or automatic. I'd love t

All the music I'm listening to nowadays is the songs I buy on Bandcamp, and I'm far from being a hardcore music fan. I do see music as commodity, and that's why I don't mind limiting the selection available to me. I down

No major browser redirects to HTTPS when the site is not on HSTS preload list AFAIK. I don’t have a PC with me, but at least Firefox for iOS doesn’t. But I've been using HTTPS everywhere for a while now, and still once in a while mana

Another solution - block the recommendations altogether. On PC, you can use specialized extension, or just Stylus (the latter works especially well with old Youtube layout). On Android, use NewPipe[0] or Youtube Vanced[1]. On iOS, perhaps I

I’m using Screen Mirroring by 2kit[0] to stream from my iPhone to a Linux laptop. It makes a MJPEG stream on local network, and I’m using some custom CSS for their website to fix scaling. It has an iPad version, so you may want to test it.
