I didn't say that everyone should do it. I only started this about 3-4 years ago, and it was always working before that. I just like having a clean OS.

For myself, peace of mind. Previously I installed them over an existing system, never had any issues. I have a repo for my dotfiles and install scripts so i can set up my system in like an hour

Nice, time for the yearly reinstall. I usually reinstall my MacBook whenever the new OS releases, it keeps my machine clean and fast.

Thanks for the article, just what I needed. I ran into a dreaded "Setup was unable to create a system partition" and couldn't find any solution, but with these steps, it worked!

I know I'm in the minority, but I don't mind _useful_ ads. I'm more worried about tracking everything, but I know that's how the ad industry work at the moment. So this new topics stuff seems kinda okay to me. Quality ad

Feeling the same as OP and I've tried the vacation/detox thingy and I just came back worse. First I passed it as "just still in vacation mode", but as the days kept passing by, it did not get better. Might have to look u

Not web development per se, but I had to write an FFI connector in Rust (because of some multiarch shenanigans) and I want to create an API to manage the connector remotely - it's a proxy for card readers - so I can manage the gates, t

I think Sony had one of the few smart wristbands for analogue watches but IIRC its japan only. I found the idea quite nice, a small led row display to show whos calling for example and the wristband looked like a normal band for the watch.

Dropped my iPhone 13 around 4-5 times, on the floor, in the bathtub without water, on the desk. Not even a scratch. I was afraid of the glass back but this thing _is_ sturdy. "Risking to fall" was a good reason about 4-5 years ago

Not until a few years ago, Firefox on macOS just kept spinning the fans because it used that much CPU, for no reason. I stopped using FF since then, haven't bothered to install it again, might do it in the near future.
