You're forgetting the square part. One square meter is roughly 10 square feet, your home is closer to 910 sq ft.

I want to clarify that I don't necessarily think that this is a bad thing. The "american dream" where everyone owns a 4000sq ft home, a wife, 3 kids, a car for each person and a backyard with a pool and a trampoline is not su

> What is the difference between an async method and a method that returns a Future? There's no difference for callers of the method, but you can only use await in methods that are async.

There's some work being done on optimising Proxies, but the current implementation is just slow (and also varies by engine), but yes, they can probably be optimised further. EDIT: there are various blog posts around talking about optim

Because they need runtime support from the engine, e.g. you need engine support in order to intercept calls like: obj[prop] = 'foo' where prop is user input or similar. You could technically compile them away if you replace

They don't get compiled away because Proxies are a runtime thing. The impact on performance is entirely on the runtime.

I downloaded dungeon warfare (a suggestion from another comment chain) and it doesn't have ads or p2w elements. It was 3 eur in the Android play store.

Runs can be increasing or decreasing, a reversed array is a single run. Worst case is n/2 because you can always split the array in pairs (if it alternates a high and a low value for example).

They sell the smaller version of this car, in the same colors [1]. But many pieces are not available in those colors, e.g. I see a lot of the 3x1 cross-blocks [2] in light azure, which is not in any other set. [1] https://shop.le

I prefer games like Manufactoria or SpaceChem. Human resource machine and TIS-100 look too much like regular programming to me.

Haven't seen any mention of Factorio in this thread. It's not as much of a puzzle game (except when going for extreme optimisation) but a resource management game.
