I have tried so many apps to get my financial shit together, but I always end up returning to my Google Spreadsheet-based system. One worksheet for each pay period. No tracking of transactions. Just columns for who's owed what and how

I love the ability to search departures from my home city. When I change it from "1 Passenger" to "2 Passengers", it would be helpful if the price reflected the total cost of 2 passengers.

After dropping off of Facebook and trying to cleanse myself of a Reddit addiction, I went to Newsblur for my daily news. It's been really great.

We asked grandparents for annual memberships to experiences in our city. For example a membership to the the Children's Museum, Science Museum, and Zoo are awesome and give us something to do throughout the year.

I had some static sites on Firebase and moved them to Netlify because the build tools were excellent, not to mention built in form handling.

Standalone user here since 1Password 2.0, using it both on iOS and OSX. I feel that it receives pretty frequent updates, and doesn't suffer from feature bloat. It even synchronizes great with Dropbox. What are people's gripes with

After signing in, my initial reaction is that I wish I didn't have to use a browser extension to save a page. It would be handy if I could just enter a URL and have it saved, a la Pinboard or Instapaper. That said, this worked very wel

I think this is a great example. I don't even know what an X12 transaction file is, but boy howdy, I know how to parse it now!

On the alcoholic drinks front: In Minneapolis there are a number of places where you can buy kombucha on tap, even getting a growler to take home. Lately I've been drinking a glass of that in the evening instead of my standard beer. It

I am taking this event as reminder to go back to my own self-hosted website with an RSS feed. It doesn't have the complete social factor offered by Soundcloud, but hey, it's my own!

I'm a big fan of the Bullet Journal method too ( http://bulletjournal.com ). Started about 7 months ago and use it daily. I got a black Leuchtturm 1917 for work, and a white one for personal. I used to keep daily notes in a D

I bought Transmit 3 in 2006, and upgraded to Transmit 4 in 2010. It's always been a shining example of extremely well supported, well designed Mac software. I'm cool paying $35 for Transmit 5.

I wouldn't mind being able to import a file from my Google Contacts. I've been using that as my friends-and-family CRM for over a decade now. Also, this may sound stupid, but how do you delete a contact?

Interestingly enough, my 6 year old was able to drive in and start having fun drawing in MIDI notes in Ableton Live Intro (the creators of the app linked for discussion) and listening to them. Ableton Live is certainly complex, but there&#x

I have grown to love Jade/Pug templates, compiled with npm scripts. You can build your own site generator to convert pug templates with the simple command `pug --watch`.
