This year I picked up an Akai S20 sampler and have been using it to make beats. It uses 1.44MB floppies for storage, and this limitation really forces you to make decisions and stop wasting time. Demo of the S20 floppy disk workflow: https

I enjoyed the Heather Radke episode of the "You're Wrong About" podcast. They discuss the book "Butts: A Backstory", which I'm wrapping up here on the holiday break. Insightful stuff. https://podcast

I've been using ReadKit for Mac for several years. It's just an old-school native feed reader app, no services required!

I picked up a used Fossil FTW1166 smartwatch for $45 on eBay. It features a simple analog activity tracker, with just a plain-old dial like any other watch. There is no screen and no e-ink. The lack of screen is awesome and I can't bel

I grew up in an area of the Twin Cities metro area of Minnesota that has very high PFAS contamination from decades of 3M's dumping of chemicals. Would love to get one of these tests once available in Minnesota! https://en.wi

1Password stores QR codes and syncs them across any device that has access to your vault. I highly recommend this solution if you're worried about losing access to your 2FA codes. It is also easy to back up.

I remember getting into the Monome ecosystem around 2005 (also a grid-based device) and being surprised by Tenori-on coming along and making something so visually similar. I guess grid-based tools feel natural to a lot of people!
