I'm not sure about those milk bottles, but in Germany the "Mehrwegpfandsystem" typically gets 40 to 50 cycles from a glass bottle and up to 25 cycles out of a PET bottle. Unfortunately, this system has been on the decline in

Yeah, I'm using Java, so in practice this means I extended my JDBC DataSource. On every call to getConnection() it sets the schema.

My strategy is using a separate, but equivalent schema for every tenant and setting the tenant context with every request before running queries.

The problem is there aren't many guides for learning "vanilla" JavaScript that aim at newcomers. MDN is a good reference, but I can't think of something more directed tutorial.

Edge used to be an alternative on Windows at least, but now it's also based on Chromium. :-( I'd always prefer Firefox, but if you want to avoid Google money, you're basically up to Microsoft or Apple. The latter tying you to

I think some of the reasons why there are so many note taking apps are that it's easy to start with, everybody has a use case for it (easy dogfooding) and you don't need a business idea. If you need an idea for your startup, it&#x

Another downside is that rendering larger documents to PDF will become incredibly slow. We have documented a REST API with AsciiDoc via Spring RestDocs and the build takes like 10 minutes for the PDF only. That doesn't include generati

Those colorful upscaled images of ClearType text are not that helpful. I wrote a tool several years ago to illustrate the effect of subpixel font rendering: https://github.com/pvorb/subpixel-illustrator

I think the C++ version shouldn't matter that much. High School is for getting people hooked on programming. I learned Borland Delphi in High School and a bit of PHP and C. I later studied CS where these languages were mostly irrelevan

I think you can swap the fn and ctrl key in the BIOS under sth like Config -> Keyboard/Mouse -> Fn and Ctrl Key swap. While I don't have the exact model, I think this has been possible for all ThinkPads for some time.
