The title reminds me how Google effectively crippled fast writing of emails a couple of years back, when they fouled up the Compose textbox with fancy JS/HTML hackery. Can't write & paste an email to the Compose box, can'

After you take or attach a picture to the Signal chat you haven't sent it yet; you can write a caption for the image or send it without. The red cross if for removing the image if you change your mind. At least, this is what popped up

Do you log in to AirBnB using Google credentials? Perhaps they use an undocumented feature to broadcast the dates to GCal without mail harvesting.

Warm-season clothing, a t-shirt and jeans. It means the phone has to fit comfortably in front/back pocket. If it doesn't, it could be labeled as nonportable.

I often use Google Images to find actual articles to read. It happens like this: I search for a combo I'm looking for, only the pages that Google finds are not exactly about what I'm after. From the images I can see immediately if

If you read closely, you'll notice that Fastmail is not entirely dismissing AMP either

I'm disappointed at this. If everybody ignored this AMP business, it wouldn't get mainstream attention. I don't like the idea that some day use need to have a full blown web browser to check your mail.

I went to using local aggregators for a while but then went on to using bazqux.com which handles really nice.

The day I heard about Grammarly (saw a Youtube ad). Free to use, I thought to myself, this surely monetizes by analysing all my input in their servers, wherever they are. It looks like a good product. If they offered a true offline version

Whatever money I'd put in right now, I'd diversify the time component. Instead of buying 1x at once today, tomorrow, buy 0.2x every two/three days.

If humans can’t do simple math, why would you expect computers to? It’s like expecting AI to sum up 1000 integers without errors, when people can’t even do that 100% of the time.

Find's `-print0' will output results using null separation. Xargs' `-0' argument will treat input as null-separated.

As a developer I see tremendous value in Electron and how fast you are able to get prototypes up and running. I am also highly relieved that my desktop software doesn't have to run in the background like a chat application or an editor

It can be tough or misleading in this case because truthfully Darktable pretty much exceeds LR in features. But the way you achieve some of the things is not always there... so more powerful, somewhat less usable.

You may have to experiment with different base curves or even make your own one. I don't know much about the underlying theory but I lamented how I couldn't push the shadows in Fujifilm files (halos like hell) and people suggested
