I used to like it when I didn't live in the Bay and avoided all the "local news" threads because it was not interesting to me. I kinda left after I moved because I don't wanna be in a site where the consensus solution to

Well but the other brands are even worse. Have you ever designed or worked with something with a battery? It's a big liability if the thing catches fire or explodes or doesn't charge up to full performance and it's not easy t

I think before that you need to get all the fake journalists that just get payed by companies to review their products and say it's awesome for the price. Substack doesn't have those yet.

I agree with your comment but if you think banning TikTok is about stopping China's psyops you are not paying attention. This is protectionism for the US social media industry. Removing American made content from TikTok will also make

Conservatives where saying Netflix was doing this when they released that weird show about girls that were dressed up very suggestively on their platform. We probably went through the same for broadcast TV, cable, video stores, etc, etc...

I would consider taking a pay cut and moving to a cheap suburb and work for the government or a bank before working for a big tech company that uses Teams. I would only use Teams on a small group or some kind of very highly paid consultant

I don't think the subs hanging from the ceiling on the hallway in front of the bar are COTS. If they are it's not on their websites or catalogues. Like it may be the same cone but it's not the same enclosure or anchoring.
