If your team prefers not to use this new optional feature, just enable a PHPStan rule in your CI/CD pipeline that prevents code like this getting merged.

It's just SEO. It's very common to have a CMS feeding images to an LLM that extracts the contents and gives image files a meaningful file name and alt tag.

OkCupid (the original one, before they sold out) had a great article showing how your perceived attractiveness changes significantly, based on the camera you're using to take your profile pictures [1] [1] "Don’t Be Ugly By Acciden

If you're bookmarking a directory, a list of things (e.g. the HN frontpage), you expect the content to change when opening the bookmark. You bookmark a link to the directory so you don't forget the directory's entry URL. The

> I don't know if picking up a minimalistic framework you know nothing about is faster That's the whole point of HTMX: Going back to what works: trusty old HTML attributes, but giving them intuitive interactions. Instead of lea

Just put any template rendering engine in-between. Htmx is "bring your own backend", but you do have to have a backend, be it Haskell or Zig or Gleam, that talks to your API, and renders HTML.

Then what's the point of using HTMX? If you're not sending just exactly the necessary HTML to replace the target's HTML; if you need to parse JSON, then even jQuery would be better suited. The whole idea of HTMX is to get rid

The differentiating factor is when the hype is justified with the implementation of the actual implementation. Then it's "hype", followed by adaptation and commoditization. With "just hype" however, there is no such

If you have more than one display, and you want to be able to drag windows from one to another and want them to have a similar size after dragging, it's a hard problem.

If I get $1000 a month, I'll stop my grind job and open a car dealership, selling for pre-UBI pices, until I drive my competitors out of business. It's a fantastic game theory playground.

Wait, what? Do you mean the mass layoffs during Covid, or the resulting state subsidies paid out? Here in Europe, people moved to remote work, but nobody "stopped working". None of that was universal, and none of that counts remot

That's not UBI (the universal part), that's state subsidies, which already exist today all over the world.

A compiler produces the same, deterministic output, every single time. A stochastic parrot can never be trusted, let alone one that tweaks its model every other night. I totally get that not all code ever written needs to be correct. Some t

That's not how any of this works. Those who make bold claims, need to back them up with evidence. From following your other comments, you seem to be confused by Germany's version of what in the USA is known as Defamation lawsuits,

If the next 5 lines of code are so predictable, do they really need to be written down? If you're truly saving time by having an LLM write boiler plate code, is there maybe an opportunity to abstract things away so that higher-level co

It comes off as a low-effort question that seems to try to evoke a reply from a peer, while it's the kind of question that is best answered by an LLM, Google, or Wikipedia.
