There's an event here in London, Tech meet City, that requires an AngelList profile to apply to it. It's a sort of pitch fest.

Yes, I tend to agree. I'll try to go in that direction. My problem is this: I say "We are a new startup, new product, market validation phase, yada yada", someone ask "Have you had any funding yet?" and reality woul

Some organizations that connect startups with investors, run pitching events, etc, asked for a video, so, I thought, I might as well publish it. I'll re-think it.

The core tech was developed by me around 5 years ago. I co-founded a startup 4 years ago which I'm pivoting into this new product (if my market research is positive). For the past 4 years I been making and selling other products and ma

This was going to be my follow up. To demonstrate competency, you can participate in open source projects. I even got job offers out of my participation. There are also bootcamp schools that will get you up and running quickly, some even th

It's never to late and definitely not at 24hs. Read some biographies, yes, some people were rich by 19th, but some struggled for years and years not finding their success or happiness until the 40s, 50s, etc. Do you like coding?

I'm the author of the original article and it's not my intention to be misleading. This happened to me a few years ago and the few pictures I got are actually quite blurry. My friends, though geeks, were sort of feed up with me an

No, I had no way of extracting any information from that machine. And also, the last time I had access to that machine, it wouldn't turn on. The reason was actually simple and solvable so I was just sad I couldn't play again with

That machine, under certain circumstances, can be publicly accessed without much trouble. I shouldn't have access to it. I was careful, I didn't break anything, but someone better than me at this should have done this research. I&

But maybe, NextSTEP would have been more relevant if it was an OS that allowed you to use the web. But then, the web back then wasn't that great and I think the tipping point was ISPs offering commercial internet access in 94 or 95.

Right now, the version of the product we are offering, is the traditional software licence in which they buy a copy. So, offering them a discount is almost always useless, as they already bought a copy. Once we launch the corp version with

Yes, it's only anecdotal, but it's not that someone didn't allow me to use the language because it's name didn't start with "J" and ended with "ava". I tried and failed. Other people had similar experience. There are some things to point ou

I disagree. Every time I tried to put together an app with any of Common Lisp, Scheme or Smalltalk I found myself fighting idiosyncrasies unrelated to my app. Obviously it can be done, but the advantage of using those languages start to dim

I agree with you about Smalltalk and most Lisps not being practical. I think Clojure has the power to change that though.

In a class like MyClass you would probably use the same ifTrue to compare the different members of the class. Eventually, the comparison boils down to numbers. To answer your question, we may need to look at the implementation of = for Inte

I consider the image an implementation detail of Squeak or the original Smalltalk-implementation. You can implement Smalltalk the language without the image: http://smalltalk.gnu.org/
