I didn't know there was a support path that could handle this situation but your comment prompted me to search harder and I managed to talk to a call center in India? that purports to have solved the problem. We'll see over the ne

Is that a recent development? I can use it on Firefox now as well, but the previous time I checked they were still telling me to use Edge instead.

I wonder if they make the analog sticks on VR controllers too. Many have similar issues.

I was editing a wiki page, and the UI started telling me that someone else had edited the page and that I should refresh (refreshing resulted in the same message in short order). I'm the only maintainer!

I have an older Zenfone, no issues ever. It was easy to replace the OS and root (voiding the warranty though).

Only your phone number? That's almost benevolent. Here's a list of things companies have asked me for (including Facebook), and which I refused to provide: - Copy of unspecified ID or driver's license - High resolution copy o

Are you in Europe? I think these days they just use a different behavior for EU users so they can screw over everyone else.

As a casual who has contributed, it's not that hard. I do agree that I wish they had certain features that they currently don't. What was your ultimate objective?

It's the same as the one I have in another service, but cut short because HN has (had?) a 16 character limit. To be fair it still is a single word with no numbers or special characters, just not a short one.

This is similar to my approach for finding usernames on most online services these days (not HN). I look for unused strings that are preferrably short, single words (two is not too bad), with no numbers or special characters, and choose one
