There's nothing unsafe about integer indices because access to the array they index will incur bounds checks.

When you're solving the sliding cars puzzle as a person you're not thinking of graphs. The experience of solving OP's puzzle is entirely different from the one you mention. In theory you could stop, write down the underlying

Nobody is going to take a bug report personally because it isn't the same as implying the project is pointless and even morally wrong whenever the opportunity arises.

There's something to be said about the system that allowed that to happen, and the people who made that system possible. I can't expect a person who is fearing for their life to make the most rational and compassionate decisions.

It's been ~a year. I can't remember. It usually had to do with the dreaded self referential structures, or interfacing with c libs.

That was not my experience. I still fought the borrow checker after a year of using Rust. And I found many situations while using Rust where I either needed to clone, or use unsafe where it's easier to make a mistake than in other lang

The "People" section on the right on their github organization[0] shows members of the core team. It's also free software and surrounded by a passionate community, so it's pretty hard that it would die out. Andrew is irr

It's really 4. It doesn't count the sentinel, just the elements. `@sizeOf([4:0]u8)` is 5 though.

I agree that array initialization syntax is weird a.f., but the other two points are very deliberate. I feel like you're implying they're legacy cruft.

There's a lot of people in the community that feel this way as well but tolerate it. I think it's a certainty that whenever zig 1.0 arrives it will immediately be forked to turn the unused errors into warnings, at least for debug

No, my hourly salary is 1/10 of that. I would still pay for the license for Sciter if I had a use for it right now, but it isn't a trivial cost.

I can't afford to leave my job, I would only be able to sustain myself for ~1 year. I think I would be satisfied if I only had to work half as much: 4 hours a day, 20 a week. Now I just need to find that job...
