In Sweden, the deduction is more limited; a deduction of 30 % of interest up until 100 000 SEK, and 21 % over that amount. As nominal marginal tax rates are somewhere in the 40-50 % range, this typically means <15 % actual reduction in t

Or more accurately, you cannot avoid paying for it (as it is collected in employment taxes). The employer has to pay 4,35 % as sjukförsäkringsavgift , as well as other payroll taxes that total 31,42 % of nominal salary (2017). https:/

For me, the thought I spare is "good riddance". Yes, heartless, but when daesh kills its dedicated own, I'm not shedding much tears. What I care about is stopping it from killing and enslaving others.

Yes. People who disapprove "tax avoidance" or "tax optimization" should reflect on the idea a few years back: High-earning professionals like medical doctors in a North European country had a very high marginal tax rate

Most of the criticism (of Nike and Apple, for instance) isn't for breaking even the spirit of the law. Most often the companies are acting precisely as the law is intended to work, and criticism is based on a misunderstanding of what i

This changed long (10-15 years) ago. When I (resident in Finland) buy stuff from web shops in Germany, I pay tax at the higher Finnish rates, and it is withheld by the seller. (When I buy from e.g. China, I pay VAT at the customs, including

Google has plenty of non-VAT-collecting consumers as customers. For instance, anyone who purchases apps or makes in-app purchases.

What? In EU, Google is taxed for each ad income, as well as app sales, based on the country of where the sale takes place. It's called Value Added Tax. Countries can set the rate. Mostly the rates are in the order of 20 %.

I think it is not massively disingenuous to use the newest data available. I did not find much better figures for 2015 or 2016. Another source suggests that Ireland has been net contributor since 2013 and continued so in 2015. http:/&
