I agree. What I don't understand is why don't they make these features they removed available in their paid plans. As much as I'd hate to admit it, I would probably pay to have these removed features and more.

:has() basically removes the need for us to use JS to attach classes to parent elements as we can essentially look ahead now, e.g. ".some-component:has(.input-select-all:checked) { background: blue }" whereas we would have to use

I migrated from BitBucket recently and was surprised at how BitBucket was often ahead of GitHub in CI and API breadth. I guess I mistakenly thought GitHub would be miles ahead with its popularity and backing.

If it prints money and can be made in a weekend then of course. However, the more niche it is to an audience or knowledge needed beforehand (i.e. simple music generator) it would no longer be a weekend project.

Agreed. I find dumb design usually comes from two pools: inexperienced designers and cost cutting measures. What's a switch to a company but another point of failure that they can't as readily blame the user on?
