Nice! I had an idea that I never coded up. Basically a hamster with a parachute that would fall slowly to the bottom of the page. If you scroll down fast his parachute will deploy to catch up and land once again at the bottom of the view

The benefit of OKLCH is that it normalizes the colors to our perception. So a saturation % change in OKLCH is more of what we'd expect than in HSL. This is good for design systems that want to have a visually expected output after run

No. Let us decide how we want to handle it. Most of us could handle it ourselves through scripts and extensions if it really bothered us anyway.

I've had a few worn mouses register double clicks upon a single click. It happens inhumanly fast and users won't realize it until using an app that reacts to double clicks.

I think people get hung up on the term "tokens" and imagine something more. They should've kept it simple and called it design variables or something.

My Japanese mom always thought it was weird to put peoples names to destructive forces like hurricanes. I think she said in Japan use some numbering system (might be as simple as incrementing, I don't remember).

If you have the budget, I have also taken a liking to perplexity.ai. I got it free from my school and it basically aggregates searches for me with sources (but be sure to check them since sometimes it reads between the links so to speak).

Same with me. When I was younger I was able to just enjoy myself without mixing irl thoughts. Unfortunately these days as an adult if I'm stuck in a game or have to chip at it in some tedious fashion, a part of my brain goes "yo

The design of the yellow/black cells holding language/tech tripped me out for a sec, on my laptop they're all crooked at the top but align themselves after a certain amount of scroll. Thought I was seeing an optical illusion

Workplace had me move from Brave to Chrome and I was surprised that Chrome didn't have this feature. Brave's implementation felt like it was already a native part of Chromium, I guess they took existing parts and re-oriented it a

True, this change is about maintainability. I'm sure the browser css engine treats that id attribute selector (without any regex-like) as an #id. Now if it were [id(*|^|$)=''] then it could have performance consequences, but

The other day I thought I had the perfect task for AI and to clean up some repetitive parts in my scss and to leverage mixins. It failed terribly and was hallucinating scss features. It seems to struggle in the code <-> visual realm

Even if your styles aren't colocated you can use sourcemapping alongside established patterns on how to structure out your scss/less. Just inspect the element and click on the filename next to your selector and it opens in your e
