I've enjoyed a lot about the game, but I agree with you about the story. I suffered through all the dialogue in normal mode. Franticly clicking the X on all the conversations in nightmare mode has made the game much more bearable.

Some designers would love to use this tool you speak of. The smoke weed and try a bunch of crazy things type of designer is pretty well served by Photoshop. You can hack things up easily, try visual ideas very quickly and then clean up your

Ender's Game was my favorite book when I was 12, so I read a whole hell of a lot of Card's books before I knew anything about his personal beliefs. I tried so hard to think they were awesome, but everything after Ender's Game is pretty unin

Well said. The misuse of the word design is ubiquitous. I just looked at the Designer Fund thing for a second, but I noticed a headshot of Luke Wroblewski on there. He co-founded the IxDA, wrote the books Mobile First and Web Form Design (b

You are probably right. Everyone in this thread seems to be agreeing with each other. We're just discussing semantics.

This is clearly a quagmire, but I guess I'll continue. Comparing NHL 12 to NetHack is a crime. You are a criminal. Also, Total Annihilation was pretty good. Oh course, it's no NetHack.

Knowing how much time, experience and knowledge it would take to ascend even once, I know you have played a hell of a lot of NetHack. It's a great game. Just admit it.

It might be helpful for developers to have a better idea of the type of design they need for their project. In my experience, when most people talk about designers, they are talking about visual designers. Open source needs help with visual
