It is great to hear success stories for the Clojure/ClojureScript workflow. I really respect the work behind LightTable and understand the natural lisp support of Emacs, but I have a lot of time and neurons baked into using Vim. Most o

I would guess this is JS transpiled from CoffeeScript or something similar. That makes it an even less fair comparison, as ClojureScript would compile down to something just as wacky looking.

That changes the "feel" of composing without JSX more than anything I've seen so far. Trying to work JSX into my compiling pipeline was an uncomfortable hassle. I'm going to give this a try.

I think it has a deep saturation in many applications where the server is in something other than Node. The shininess may have worn off a while ago, but I think it is still entirely relevant.

Excellent distillation of dozens of patio11 posts. The key, and what I think is the blocker for so many potential consultants, is the amount of human to human conversation that it takes. It is certainly a stumbling point for me!

Annoyingly this causes me to have to "accept" that I won't rely on the cameras every single time I start the car. Without doing so I can't access the radio, nav, etc. Proximity sensors and cameras can be invaluable when

I recently wrote about a great, and very simple, use case for JS Proxies [1]. They are the cleanest way to implement the mediator pattern in JS, which has some great uses in MVC. [1]: http://blog.sorentwo.com/2013/12&#x

A couple months ago I got into Project Euler and decided to tackle all of the problems with Elixir. It was a great way to learn syntax and performance nuances. Definitely a tool that I enjoy using and will be keeping up with.

Using \e within the psql shell will drop you right into your $EDITOR, which is likely vim. You can edit commands in there directly and they will be evaluated when you :wq out. The next time you type \e it will load the previous command back

We are running a smaller app on JRuby using Puma with thread safe on. It has a significantly smaller footprint, as we are only booting one server. Overall really solid, though more useful if you can use something other than MRI.
