I never suggested anything so simplistic. Imagine some replacement for tcp is proposed and a working group is set up to develop it. A member of that group might advocate for or against features. You could take the position "we should n

CF sells treatment, not cure, for ddos. They are a major player in internet technology. I presume that fora exist for players to discuss blue-team strategy, and that decisions are nuanced and detailed. If so, there's a lot of leeway to

I've always assumed that Linux's server-side dominance was fated by providing an apache Web server for zero monetary cost. IIS was several years behind and cost money. I can't imagine Facebook running on IIS in 2004, for exam

You have a narrow view on people's reasons for speaking. My sisters-in-law speak because, if their jaws stop moving for a few minutes, they will suffocate and die. Persiflage is uttered that has no bearing on anything else said.

It's an order of magnitude harder to debug when you don't have access to prod, but there's a reason to block that access. I think you need to put controls on that fairly early in your project's evolution. Any good strate

I may be misunderstanding, but you can write to the console host in a background task. To get an output stream, you need to await the task and collect the result.

Not sure what you mean? I've hosted powershell in C# code by referencing Microsoft.Powershell.Sdk - it pulls in the dll at compile time and runs on whatever .Net runtime that is installed and matches the project target.

We get it, you vape. The "performance" of the language is going to have approximately zero effect once a request has to schlep over to the database in a 7ms round-trip. There's a wide field of applications where language perf
