I like this! I tried to bookmark it with Cmd+D, and noticed you trapped that keyboard event for the duplicate function. It might be better to use shift instead of meta to avoid colliding with copy, paste, etc.

That's a very ambitious goal for an introductory CS course. Still, I wonder if building a search engine is a motivating goal for new programmers these days. I'm sure it's been tried many times before, but a class that introduced programming

Some really good recommendations. Still, I wish I could change the maximum distance for shows away from me, or see how far away shows are on the main screen. I live in MA, and I'm seeing concerts in New Jersey.

Maybe. I think the idea of "blocking" a program makes a lot less sense to the novice user compared to choosing if a program can e-mail you or post on your wall. I agree that they could easily become a nuisance and lead to the user reflexive
