That's not how the protocol works. A single failed guess terminates the connection and alerts the sender that an incorrect code was used and someone might be attacking them. If you are concerned about guessability you can use more than

Thats one thing that snaps are trying to do. I personally prefer firejail for application sandboxing and permissions but then you have to be extra careful how you install the application (dpkg post-install scripts have been known to do sket

I really like the idea of snaps. I really don't like a lot of the execution decisions around them. Snaps break debain's stable release model. They allow upstream to ship updates outside of the normal 6 month ubuntu releases. There

Zoom has a not very well published chrome app (intended for chromebook users). You can install it in normal chrome and it gives you a much better experience than the web version without all the issues of the desktop app. I trust zoom a lot

Joyent did http request signing using ssh keys[0]. Their cli tools used this mechanism. There's been some effort to carry this forward through the standards process[1]. I'm not going to comment on whether this is a _good idea_. It

There's a go port of magic-wormhole that is easier to get running on windows: https://github.com/psanford/wormhole-william/releases/tag/v1...

I have a very ( very ) rough react-native frontend for this that runs on android. I've been waiting for the go-mobile module support to settle down a bit before cleaning it up and releasing it. Its probably about time for me to pick it

Just a note, there is a Go port of magic-wormhole that does properly interoperate with the official python version and has the benefit of not requiring a python environment: https://github.com/psanford/wormhole-william

I assume the go wormhole implementation you are talking about is https://github.com/psanford/wormhole-william . I've been working on building a mobile interface for it. After that I may look at doing a Windows UI.

There's also https://github.com/psanford/wormhole-william . It's written in Go, doesn't need an installer and is compatible with the official wormhole client.

Its really not that hard. I've got /etc/resolv.conf pointed at 127.0.0.1 and a local stub resolver forwarding to an upstream DOH server. Boom! everything using gethostbyname is now using DOH.
