Absolutely, I do not understand the obsession with tech companies centralizing in a few major cities. There are many beautiful, walkable cities in decline around the country. Each of these cities would make excellent places to live with s

Kind of like how independent rating agencies were performing due diligence and properly rating securities before the mortgage crisis right?

I do not work at Google myself but I have friends and family who do work there. I don't think Google employees are immune from irrationally using random tools, but that's just my anecdotal observation.

Yup, I remember that clearly since I got my first job right after that dot com bust. It led to a mass exodus of the people who were in it for the money.

I've been a Snowden supporter but this is the kind of information that gets people killed. I'm not sure how comfortable I am with this. He proved his point a long time ago is this really necessary?

Banks shouldn't be held accountable for illegal activity that occurs on their platform unless they are complicit in the activity neither should AirBnB. If the government comes to AirBnB or a Bank with evidence of criminal activity the

I'm not saying your solution wouldn't work, I'm saying that any implementation of your solution would be an unreasonable burden. AirBnB is not a real estate agent and does not act as one, there are no laws against them listi

I believe it isn't insurmountable but any possible solution would be unreasonable. You're asking for a system to be put in place but you have no ideas regarding implementation. If you think about the problem you'll realize

I think the bigger problem is that it would allow competitors or just people who are assholes to file unfounded complaints. I don't think much good would come of such a system.

That is totally anecdotal, there is zero evidence that their emphasis on culture had anything to do with their success. Don't get caught up in cargo cults.

With #22 I really believe that you should be careful. Introverts can easily be confused as anti-social. Now if they're a dick to everyone for no reason that's a different story.

It's pretty accurate for most software engineering roles out there. You whiteboard code to solve theoretical problems with algorithms you learned in college. The real job typically involves trying to get code from various languages,

No, there are several $_SERVER variables available to all php applications. The two relevant ones in this case would be HTTP_HOST and SERVER_ADDR, most likely the author of the application was leaking one of those in his application.
