My total loan amount was ~30k for most my loans over 5 years. The initial loans were at 3.25% and whatever the perkins loan rate was, the later loans were at 6.8%, which was super ridiculous and I don’t think they stopped that rate until la

I don’t think spring mattresses aren’t as overpriced as you might expect. You can look at the pure cost of springs, foam, fabric/covering, etc... It turns out that buying these things individually, for a minimal queen size mattress mad

The fibrox is fine , but a single 8" Shun chef's knife is near the price of an MBK-85 for a not-dissimilar level of performance. I have a Fibrox santoku, Shun 7" Chef's knife (VG-10), Ohishi 270mm (VG-5), and some of th

You don’t typically include the entire toolchain in a container with docker because of the size. You also want to construct things a bit carefully so you get proper build caching, but it’s doable. Here is an example of this pattern with Go:

Kids love iPads/tablets - more than just for education. They love fortnite on them, they love youtube on them. A 3 year old can use an iPad. Sure - they can use phones too, but tablets will be the first computer for kids for a long tim

I would expect rating should be an exponentially weighted moving average, first and foremost, with ratings also weighted by some form of user reputation. The user reputation is the hard part (at least for Amazon I guess)

The attempt to cleanly separate out workflow is nice in theory but an extremely leaky abstraction when it comes to real world operations for DAGs larger than 10s of nodes. You will end up with lots of code that will duplicate functionality

Code reviews help gate this behavior, a bit. If a coworker does this and drops a 40k line PR, they get code review duty for everybody else for a little while _before_ their code can get merged. Letting them go unfettered definitely is a mis
