If it is all at once, and if the numbers overshadow current supply/demand numbers, will supply and demand both jump in lockstep leading to a lateral shuffle? If that’s true, I would guess it’s just a net negative for everyone involved

I remember one of the first things I wanted to actually see on the web was the Orbitz (drink) website (96/97?), although I remember seeing yahoo ~two years before in elementary school. I vaguely remember it actually being orbitz.com.

redis:latest uses glibc though? looks like glibc 2.28. Yeah - if you're targeting a single platform for a single app it's probably much easier, and DIY is probably even easier with Arch or Gentoo. I've been in the "busin

SciPy is a multi platform library that is distributed, most famously on pypi but in many other ways (conda, spack, rpm, deb, etc…). How can nix handle that without requiring the user to install nix?

The argument here I suppose is live on the bleeding edge? Or swap compilers/allocators as necessary? Or use O3? I'm not entirely sure. It wraps up with: >>> COMPILE YOUR SOFTWARES. It's going to help you understand i

I’m 85, and while we had chat rooms and IM in high school, and a few kids probably had LiveJournal, 2003 was really the beginning of social media as we know it, with rapid adoption in 2004+. Texting wasn’t really a thing before ~2000, and n
