Personally, and I need to read more, is that ethically the problem lies with sharing. Is Matt/automattic ethically obliged due compensation? I think not. WP Engine is its own company like automattic. Would it grace WPE if they do compe

Apparently that’s Matts problem, he says Automattic is giving a lot more back (4000 hours or so) and WPE is doing like 40 hours. So yeah, is WPE in the right to not give back? At the heart of this is the same song of making money and the id

Yeah this is my take as well. This feels like a mudsling fight and it’s messy. Whatever the .coms do is theirs, but the .org should not be in this one.

Something I wonder, is it possible to have 3rd party plugin registries, so unconnected to .org ?

I think you can remap everything in Blender. Also my logitech mice come with remapping programs, does it come with one on mac?

The moment they are going predatory with subscriptions or online only stuff I am gone. Affinity really had to put out a statement they aren’t going to do that. Let’s hope.

I am super happy with the Affinity Suite. One time price for a full version. So glad not to pay a dime to Adobe.

That would be a great day. Unfortunately the culture of Linux is still too much walled garden, not in the Apple-like commercial sense, but in the tech culture kind of way. We need a way to embrace the public without losing what makes Linux

They really need to start adding windows as a build target at some near point in the future. As a webdev, that’s the only way I can convince the public to switch.

Of course thats a great metric, but to better exemplify, taking Blender again, with their pool of money (mostly donated by enthusiasts) they could really accelerate the development, hiring the best contributors on a case by case basis, whic

Which is not the point. If you want to have success you need to copy the Blender/Godot model. Year by year they make great versions for all platforms, and they do well. A new browser should support both and rally the people to work on

That really depends. I have been reading a lot recently on early Indian civilization, and really most of what we know in terms of historicity, aka writing in the earliest times, is only in the north, the Indus, the Ganges plains and so on.

Agreed. It is stupid and vile to use a few words. I am all for enforcement if it reaches a significant audience with commercial interests. But now anyone for any reasons gets this crap.

This seems like historical revisionism. Not saying Apple wasn’t part of a certain trend, but it’s an odd bone to pick since Apple technically is one of the few companies that relies on hardware sales, not ad revenue. Google is far more like

As someone who taught meditation, this is very common. It’s kind of being like addicted to action (to put it bluntly , sorry for that) Boredom is just one perspective of the mind. For you it might be more beneficial to approach meditation i
