Yeah, that sounds somewhat familiar. To add, I recently read this book :“love+work” by Marcus Buckingham. His insights are really good at what decades of research have taught him about loving your work (and how to get there)

Absolutely. Sometimes you get a comment thread where some specialists add way more than “average” commenters could actually add. I like it because it gives insights in difficult subjects!

On things like facebook usually our “guard” is down. We just assume at some point that if someone feeds it to us, it’s vetted already. Usually a lot of context is missing with for instance a scary headline. In that sense context tools could

Your startup is probably to early. As in, at some point it might be a necessity. And it’s been studied that we believe something first, and then apply reasoning to it. We skew towards our preferred bias by belief.

I like the goals and intent behind it, that alone is worth it. Most comments here don’t even debate Noams welcome words. A platform that isn’t a wild west race to the bottom of ad revenues? Sign me up! Micro payments for valued content? Hec

People I know who have done Ayahuasca seem to me have had adverse effects on their mental health. Not the one timers, but going regularly. It’s subtle, but it seems to me they got worse regulating their emotions and rationality. Unfortunate

Maybe in the first 5 years it’s just what it is now, and then it goes into the repository. I am going to assume most sales are in those years.

I actually bought more books by checking out the book first for free (often the sample part of an electronic book is not helpful) But I might not be representative.

Is there a (reconstructed) “purer” form of Basque that is no longer spoken, or is that lost in the mist of time due to intermixing of roman/spanish?

It’s not often you see people distinguish between smart and unwise. I agree with your assessment. For me, smart is about navigating difficult obstacles and overcoming them. Wisdom is overseeing and having insight in what your actions (inclu
