A bit under the radar, but Twitch is having a similar moment with new ad directives which would kill independent streamers. It caused an upset in the community. Twitch backtracks but the damage is already done.

Same feeling. I use GPT sometimes to get a reminder of a usage of a certain command or part of what I am doing, but for anything beyond that it usually wastes my time.

Honest question, does this include artificial inflation of costs? I have seen figures that Reddit used to run with 20 people, and inflated to 2000 in 10 years. Old reddit is also superlight in bandwidth. New reddit is not.

If I use new reddit on mobile or iPad, the whole thing just crashes fairly quickly. It’s the only site that does that. Without old.reddit I actually cannot use the site unless I confine it to a desktop perhaps.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I think I might gonna read up a bit more on the topic, it’s quite interesting. I think my personal stance is more on the idea that there is a lot we share as a species (from words, to symbols and human b

I hear that now and then, but looking at the wiki on it, the “criticism” paragraph is only like 3 lines with no real refutation, out of a hefty lengthy article. What’s your motivation for saying that? Personally I am suspect of people say t

Engineers love engineering, they love their own engineering when it comes to open source/free time projects, and they tend to not like the legwork of publishing, polishing and making it ready for public consumption. (Which is a lot of

I think a reverse experiment would be far more valuable. Try to find patterns of collective clicknets/botnets trying to swing a subreddit in a certain direction for instance.

I hear that. I usually have the same, I studied art and all of the people I met in that sphere are different from a general crowd, and quite a contrast to the offices I later worked in as a front end dev or designer. I usually ended up with

Adding to that there is indeed what is called “Divergent thinking” [1], it is a way to explore thoughts in a diverse way and the ability to come up with creative solutions. This is different from the more linear directed thoughtpatterns pro

Isn’t the portfolio they came with a huge indicator? Like did this person do well at X or Y. Even when fresh out of school one should see what someone is capable of.

From a comment : >They’re trying to overvalue their services before going public. Execs want to cash out and move to a tropical island. I can’t wait for this cesspool to fail. This is their real motivation. You can’t fight that honestly.

Lightweight (teddit frontpage: ~30 HTTP requests with ~270 KB of data downloaded vs. Reddit frontpage: ~190 requests with ~24 MB) Was new reddit designed by actual morons? 24 MB and 190 requests! How did that pass any sort of QA?

Your description sounds a lot like trauma response. Often in a true trauma response you don’t know what happened, and your body can lose it failsaves in that state. You could ask a doc and perhaps someone skilled in hypnotherapy.
