I would switch to Cursor if you could bring your own keys. Products with LLM's these days are costly subscriptions to cover running OpenAI / Anthropic inferences when they could instead give the option for the end user to take on

Ecto isn't an ORM like ActiveRecord or Hibernate. It's a DSL for building queries and you can always drop down into raw SQL if you'd like. Moebius looks like Ecto except now you no longer have schema validations and the like.

That's interesting in this context because GOG first started off getting good old games to work on modern hardware. I would also say that emulation of hardware has come a long ways, so a DRM-free executable may be all that you need for

Another interesting thing to note in the recent release[0] is that they now have an Android app in the Play Store, and it will pave the way to include Kagi in the default search engine list for Android and Chrome. > Additionally, a recen

I imagine this isn't the case if you're running GrapheneOS on it? I think it would be safe to assume that the factory defaults on any Android would be phoning home whether it's Google, Samsung, or what have you.

Yep, I think you'd be hard-pressed to find the actual Elixir code to be the bottleneck in a real-life application. But if you do encounter that, you can use something like Rustler[0] for the CPU-intensive bottleneck, as Discord did[1]

They also have quite the disclaimer :/ - The project is under very active development. - Expect bugs and breaking changes. - Do not use the app as the only way to store your photos and videos. - Always follow 3-2-1 backup plan for

Once neural networks enter the scene, I don't think giving the same output for a given input is possible in the field currently. I believe this is as open as language models can be, and what people mean when they say it's a "

It seems like anything you can configure with next.js applies here. And TIL'd there isn't a way to globally disable prefetching[0] with it. You can disable it per individual link, or write & use a custom link component. [0] h

That makes sense to me. I usually use asdf to version Rust in personal projects, so I'm not always on the latest. But when I work on a new release I'll almost always update rust and any of my other dependencies, as I'd otherw

From my experience, most of it is quickly caught in code review. And after a while it occurs less and less, granted that the junior developer puts in the effort to learn why their PRs aren't getting approved. So, pretty similar to how

For software developers, `asdf`[0] and dockerized projects goes a long way. For provisioning the environment variables needed for development, HashiCorp's `vault`[1] can make that pretty simple. Combine that with `direnv` to have it lo

This immediately brought to mind two pieces of media that I really enjoyed recently: * Necrobarista[0], a 3d "visual novel" explorative game about a cafe where the souls of the dead have 24 hours to hang around before passing on.

To those concerned about the analytics like myself, you should be able to turn it off by setting the default here to false. Otherwise you'd need to toggle it off in the settings, which gives ample time for telemetry to fire. https:&#x
