I thought the politics refer to basically the office politics, not the general political environment. The previous comment was talking about the politics that made being a high school teacher not fun, which I took to mean the demands of ad

It's frustrating. If you gave me unlimited time to do everything, I wouldn't finish anything. But give that to a normal person who is able to procure a disability accommodation, and they have a leg up over everyone else, and nev

It must be worth a lot for me to see it, because if I land on a site shopping for something, I might just turn around when you interrupt me and force me to actively not sign up for your email list.

It's Intuit's normal login flow. Enter username and it then says enter password or click here and we'll text/e-mail you a code. Ironically, if you use a password it will often text you a 2FA code.

I'll be honest, I tired of the article after a while, but I found your AI summary to be unrewarding. In the few paragraphs I read I got a feeling for some of Hamrah's personality. I don't think I would have expected that g

Sad, because Google's homepage was once a paragon of bloat-free design. While their competitors enshittified, Google kept just giving good results fast without a lot of junk. They became the 90+% market share leader, and enshittified

AI-generated podcasts are terrible. I came across one that was supposed to be summarizing FAA training material and it was unearthly and fast-paced, with pointless "humanization" umms and aahs, and in a weird conversation style.
