I agree you've got to make it easy for people to find and install software. It's the same for all OS users though. I know enough Apple and Windows users that have never installed any software on their machines whatsoever. My brother called

As an end user, I just don't end up knowing quite how my privacy is impacted when signing in through a third party site. I signed up to a site only yesterday that gave me the option of signing in (or was that signing up - I haven't a clue..

I was really asking about whether anyone actually used Tab Groups that are built into the Firefox core. Tabs to me are really window manager territory. I'm fed up of the inconsistancy across applications. Thanks for the suggestion of Tree

Does anyone actually use this feature? I'm always waiting for better tab managment in Firefox, and this just isn't it.

You mean simply 'Simon.' The Chrome logo has been called into question about it's similarity in the past. Weirdly I now associate those primary colours with Google rather than M$.

Typing the Php sample code - mainly the namespace stuff was a horrible experience. Please find some code that isn't laden heavy with use statements. I'd expect my editor to autocomplete these...

I got so fed up with browsers and their font issues. That I just use one now, that I can read easily at a good size. I override the author's choice everytime.

Users might not be even aware of how the data is being shared, or if it's being shared at all. I signed up to Facebook under a pseudonym recently, but with an old work email address. I only wanted it as a throwaway account. The auto frien

Still not really sure what it is. I tried the help page, but it foisted a login upon me before I could go any further. The about link is hidden from eye, and still doesn't really explain things.

While you may think the license is good value. If we have a TV in the UK and watch it we have to pay the license. The fee is for the BBC channels alone. I can't choose to watch commercial TV only and not pay the fee. Simple solution is

If Unity is described as a Shell for the GNOME desktop environment. Then that sounds about right to me. Perhaps better questions to ask would be what is Gnome 3? What is Gnome Shell? And what is Gnome? Sorry but it's a bit difficult to comm

I don't want to bash Gnome. I have Debian testing (Wheezy), and I did try Gnome 3. It's steadily improving, though I still have issues with it. I try it every now and then - but I'm retreating to XFCE for the time being. Gnome feels un-u
