You are entitled to your opinion, and I disagree. Open source has a meaning. Companies and marketing people are doing their best to muddle it, but I'm dying on this hill and will never accept it. If it's for non-technical audience

Yes. Nice product and fair license. But do not call it open source. Flagging the post for false advertising, will unflag if they fix the page.

It isn't, some people just like to post completely made up nonsense on topics they don't understand. Edit: GP's username should have been a hint...

This is untrue. This method wouldn't get you the highres content, that's limited to higher widevine tiers. Pirates use other bypass methods and this will zero impact.

I'm doing the same but I worry about windows compromise messing with the bootloader so then encrypted linux drive won't save me. Probably too paranoid though?

Or you know, not make life easy for abusers by just giving up and rolling over. "words 3,4,5,6 in the title" what is this, voldemort?

If you "back up and forget" there is a good chance you will not be able to restore the tapes when the time comes. At least with drives you can run regular health checks a corruption scans. Tape is good for large scale but you must

Why do you keep using token auth? This is unacceptable negligence these days. NPM supports GitHub workflow OIDC and you can make that required, disabling all token access.

Agreed with the first half, but giving up on convenient packaging isn't the answer. Things like cargo-vet help as does enforcing non-token auth, scanning and required cooldown periods.

Why TTS if it's just a static phrase? More likely that a random developer recorded that sentence and the wav is hardcoded in all the units.

Why would you want a company you like to go public? To keep chasing profits to the detriment of everything else?

For GCP network that would be a rounding error. Of course GCP sometimes has outages too, all providers do.

Yet almost any other car made after that tesla (and much cheaper) will automated break if it's about to hit something, no AI involved, just radar obstacle detection.

Not just parser but the evaluator API (so imports, macros etc all work). You get back the AST as typed structs including own custom element types. This is actually very little work to set up, have a look at: https://github.com&#x

I'm also building a blog with Typst, but I don't use the html export or the typst binary at all. Instead I only use it as a markup language and use the typst libraries to evaluate it into blocks/AST which I then use together

Certain sections of this content were grammatically refined/updated using AI assistance, as English is not my first language. OP: I sympathize, but I would much rather read your original text, with typos and grammatical errors.

GP did not use emdash as evidence of AI but rather the verbose style with little signal/noise ratio and the typical phrases most LLMs like to use.

I was just thinking... "BugHog? The platform famously broken more often than not?" We have a whole posthog interface layer to mask over their constant outages and slowness. (Why don't we ditch them entirely? I, too, often ask

Also it's actually simpler than it might seem, especially if you are not doing anything high-power or high-frequency (which, again, if it's a bunch of breakout boards connected over 0.1inch headers they clearly aren't). Watch

The protection (racket) is about selling, not manufacture. Otherwise everyone would just manufacture in china and sell anywhere they like.

Point isn't to save BOM cost, margins are high already and they can eat into them. Unless they are making literally less than 10 of those, custom board will be easier to manufacture than that mess of dev boards and more reliable than r

Computer can simulate human brain on subatomic level (in theory). Do you agree this would be "sentient and intelligent" and not just symbol manipulating? If yes, everything else is just optimization.
