I know some of the banks in the list. They're using Oracle DB for their core financial databases and MySQL only for secondary non-mission critical systems, not really related to their core business.

I also have the same opinion as you do. I’m also a Java programmer who develops in Python sometimes. It’s easy to start programming in Python, but Python is a lot more difficult than Java to master. The Java language is a lot smaller than P

Between Ruby and Python I’d choose Python. Rust is too low level and picky wrt memory book keeping. I miss the GC. Elixir would make me have to deep in the Erlang and BEAM world, I find it interesting but don’t want to go that way at the mo
